うなぎ丼

初めまして 。Unyanee (アンヤー二ー) ともうします。タイから来ました。よろしくお願いします。

We have just finished Amelieff's second quater meeting.
During the meeting, I had a chance to eat Unagi-don for lunch.
The size of the eel was so impressive. It was the biggest one that I have been eaten so far !

I got a question if there are any eels in Thailand.
Yes, we have. The popular eel dish probably be curry stir-fried.
Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of eel, so I've never tried it and can't tell the different between Janapese Unagi and Thai's eel.

Apart from being food, eels are used for making merit. In Thailand where about 90% of people believe in Buddhism, freeing animals such as birds or fish is one of the popular ways to make merit. Releasing eel is specially believed to be releasing your bad luck and sadness.
